The 100

The 100 ("The Hundred") is a CW show about space kids returning to a post-apocalyptic Earth. While that content alone may not have been enough to really spark this show, the people who worked on it were.

Some of the characters in the show speak a language called "Trigedasleng". It is a conlang, created by David J. Peterson. It was catchy and immersive enough that many people, over many years, have pressed him to further develop it and they now make a hobby of speaking it. I am not fluent, but I sure wish I was. It tickles a very particular part of my brain.

Additionally, the costumes for this show are that kind of "dirty sweatshirt gang" (The Matrix), that I just adore. There's also a healthy dose of the tribalist, "might makes right, but be honorable", that I grew up on. It's a perfect storm for silly things that I love.

I have seen the full series probably 5 times but not in the last few years. I did not read the book.

I am not a big brain guy. I don't know math or science at even a highschool level. So, when I say things like, "I don't think the timeline for this show makes any sense", you gotta understand that I understand that I'm probably wrong.

I've always hated Clarke so much. I know at least one person that had to stop watching the show because of her. From the very first day we turned on the show, we were hoping she would die. Even now, I find myself hoping.

Below are links to my thoughts on each episode. I will include a "Play by Play", with timestamped thoughts as we go. I will write a separate conclusion for where my mind is at, at the end of the episode. I will do my best not to mention or allude to things that haven't been shown.

The idea is that you can enjoy some catty complaining, during your own rewatches. Please don't take it too seriously. I don't know any of the actors and don't wish bad things for any of them.
