00:46 : A lot of recaps in shows can feel extraneous. Coming back to this the next day, I'm so glad they have one >.< 02:38 : "Move in formation" sounds like such a simple thing, if you've never tried it. This at least implies that Bellamy is trying to train some folks to work together. Commendable. 03:09 : How the mighty have fallen. Why you gotta be like this, Jasper? 04:36 : It's ok, you can admit that this was the last thing you expected, too! 06:11 : There are no votes in the cool kids club. Murphy's victim doesn't get a say. We don't have to debate tactical arguments. Clarke just decides for everyone. 07:06 : Aight, Jasper officially on the loser list. 07:50 : It's interesting that Bellamy gave Jasper a tent for being effective in combat. This is discussed by Sun Tzu, as well. He suggests that you actually do need to heap rewards on top performers, not to retain top performers, but to inspire others to strive to be top performers. 09:13 : I'm only 60% sure I connected the dots on my first watch at this point. 09:41 : I am 100% sure that did the trick. I'm so friggin skeptical of unforced errors. 13:55 : Love to see it. 17:51 : One shot and we in Boston. 18:02 : ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT. In a high stress situation? Weapons aimed and ready? Someone fires, everyone fires. Source : Cop vs Acorn 20:02 : I don't think Octavia needed immunity to be willing to help here. She's got that tribal "all in or all out" mentality that I share. I wish I could say, "Oh and Finn too", but historically he's just a horndog that's obsessed with two-timing the top ranked badass in the camp. 21:39 : I do think that destroying the bridge is a legitimate strategy for slowing down the Grounders. I don't know that I am willing to accept Raven outperforming nukes. I mean, I'm going to accept it, because she my fav, but I know I'm fanboing. 26:25 : I had actually forgotten that Connor had hung Murphy. I was only remembering Murphy peeing on Connor. I'm gonna call them even. 27:55 : Valid 28:24 : Well that complicates things. 29:11 : Why is Bellamy being such a dick? Murphy never actually did anything to him, personally. The only threat he poses is to Bellamy's ego and his need to display consequences. 31:47 : Gonna be honest, this is a super weird way to march an army. 32:23 : I can't really tell if this is fever, suicide, or gumption. She knows she won't make the shot from far enough. She left the gun behind, initially. Quite unclear. 33:10 : I'm one of those dorks that always counts the shots. They had said 5 per magazine and Jasper got exactly 5 shots. I find that quite satisfying. 33:29 : Monty showed up QQ, he's not constantly farming points like Octavia, but every time we see him he's doing something impactful. 35:45 : I think I would have been ok with Octavia staying or going. Either one is in character and has reasons. 36:33 : "They're my people" was not a concept that I had or understood before watching this show. I never got the whole patriotism, sports teams, pride thing. These days, I understand who my people are and I feel that sense of loyalty. (Spoilers : If you're reading this, it's likely that you are my people.) 37:14 : She needs to stahhhp. It really does trigger a visceral response in me. I grew up with too many girls like this. 38:50 : Record it, remix it, blast it out to every young person in the world. It's a hard conclusion to reach, but she's exactly right.

The vengeance of John Murphy could not have me more excited. I do love a good comeuppance. This episode set the stage for a lot to happen next time. At most, they've bought one extra day. We did not get any followup information about the state of the Ark, which is interesting.

I had to scrub back through the episode but I'm not sure "attack at first light" was really the plan. Raven is running to plant the bomb at night. By the time she actually does, it's daylight. The Grounders are still traveling towards the bridge at first light. That would make the attack like midday at the soonest.

At any rate, I'm glad Finn and Raven finally split. I'm glad Monty both denied Jasper's request and then showed up anyway. I hope Harper gets undunked on at some point. Octavia chose to stay, so I want to see her stay with full ferocity.
