02:00 : Oh, ok. Ignore my last conclusion. I guess we're not killing him. That must mean we're...??????? 02:17 : lol 03:15 : I guess it's a little ridiculous to even say but, Suspicia lookin' real suspicious. 03:52 : This is such a minor and specific thing but I 100% agree. Those chairs would be so annoying, in the rain. 04:54 : If we rewind to the first shot from behind Dax, you can see he's wearing the standard Skyrim Thieve's Guild uniform. Also, WTF BRO, why he so talll? 06:38 : In a Disney show? During Covid? This bit would have /slayed/. 07:15 : Raven is trying so hard to let bygones be bygones and these two dementors just won't let it happen. I hope they cut her loose, sooner than later. 07:52 : IRL, I have grand aspirations of becoming a bit of a crafter. I have no natural talent and I'm a very slow learner. Nothing ever quite pans out. However, it's simple props like Bellamy's backpack or the lanterns in the dropship - I love that "made from scrap" aesthetic and it inspires me. 09:20 : I'm never going to cosign the obvious age gap between Octavia and this Grounder. I'm going to try to keep my complaining about him to a minimum, but like, naw dawg, this ain't it. 11:00 : -500,000 for being a creepy adult man. +1 for being upfront about being the enemy. It's a tough position to be in. Also, if nothing else, guy has been standing T posed for over a day, right? That's gotta be brutal. 14:50 : It's like being stalked by a lion. Guy is huge. He's also crouching like in Skyrim, which continues to amuse me deeply. 17:12 : These guys remind me so much of that one episode of Avatar : The Last Airbender. 21:40 : I don't think it's a bad take at all. Bellamy is kind of hosed. As for who gets access to the guns at camp, it's a very interesting question. Some people would argue that everyone should have equal access to everything. Others would say only the government should have guns. In this scenario, I think that anyone you don't trust with a gun probably shouldn't be in camp at all. They already have weapons and any other solution is really just banking on it not affecting you personally because you're so sure you can take them in a fight. If Braveheart taught us anything, it's that nobody can tank a flail to the face in their sleep. Further still, there is some argument to be made for banning their use altogether. Without some way to manufacture new bullets, ammo should be conserved for war and not wasted on hunting or tomfoolery. In this case, "war" would include training for war - because Bellamy is right, they're not helpful unless you practice. 22:15 : If you've never played Metal Gear Solid 3, you wouldn't know how much this evokes The Sorrow. 28:08 : In this moment, Octavia becomes something of a betrayer. I like that she's making a move but, if it results in the mass murder of all her people, there will be no shirking the guilt. 30:26 : I guess I should probably be respectful and give Finn equal consideration. I just don't care as much about him being a betrayer. He was already a betrayer. He's a ho. He's just the worst. 36:50 : It seems a little overly optimistic that simply obtaining guns evens the playing field somehow. You see this a lot IRL, as well. People keep a knife on their keychain and feel safe. However, the 230lbs guy that has fought every day for the last 10 years and lives in a dumpster is still going to wreck them. Some kid that took 5 jujitsu classes will absolutely destroy them. The difference between a person that is comfortable with violence and someone that isn't is not an easy gulf to cross. If nothing else, the Grounders probably have superior numbers and infrastructure. That means they can afford to be patient and starve the kids out. 37:57 : I guess this counts as a lie but like.. "I know, you know, I'm not telling the truth." 39:50 : Shumway? Hero of the people?! 40:45 : It's always rough when the cool kids club gets cliquey. 41:37 : She puts the CIA in Suspicia!
Honestly, I suspect this episode is full of a lot of false hopes. Lincoln got away. Bellamy and Octavia are talking again. Allegedly, Bellamy was pardoned. Raven and Finn are in bonetown. Nothing bad happened to Monty or Jasper. However, I can just feeeeeel that other shoe waiting to drop!
